Mainly cater for all-inclusive( not much on offer for self-catering at pool bar) Disappointing to find all pool loungers reserved every morning by 09:30hrs and remained like that most of the day with only handful of guests using the pool!
Spacious apartments ;very clean ; nicely landscaped ; helpful staff; sports facilities ie. Tennis court , minigolf ; near the beach ;
Having to pay to use the tennis court and minigolf;
The staff were very helpful when we needed their assistance. This was a family holiday with my wife and 2 teenage girls, on a self catering basis, although the hotel offered "All Inclusive" we opted to make our own arrangements. We were looking for a relaxing break and we weren't disappointed, there was games and facilities to be used which others did. We mainly just used the hotel for the pool facilities and the room was comfortable, the air conditioning was very helpfully. We ate in the hotel restaurant once for dinner and it was good with a good choice of foods. There are lots of close by small restaurants close by with many more all along the front either way, plenty places to eat.
Large rooms with aircon and fans, good size pool and facilities and handy location
Loved our room but the only thing letting it down was the lock on the patio doors had obviously been broked and not replaced - a large screw had just been put in the latch to act as a lock. As we were on a higher floor it wasnt really an issue but perhaps complimentary safety box would have been appropriate rather than having to pay for it? Apart from the we loved the room and would visit again.
The 2 bedroom apartment was ideal for my husband and I and our 3 children. The pools were fantastic. The kids pool was a great size, it never got overcrowded.The whole complex was very clean and very well maintained. The cleaners cleaned and provided fresh towels every day except Monday and Friday. The beach and local spar shop are 2 mins walk away.
We did not realise that lots of electrical equipement could be hired from reception for reasonable prices. There was no electric kettle or toaster in our room but there was a microwave.
The apartments were cleaned to a very high standard, every other day, even the dishes we had used were cleaned. 4 Swimming pools of various depths were spotlessly clean, as were the toilets. Kids pool had inflatables which were free to use. My 3 year old loved it. There was air conditioning included in the price and ceiling fans for the rooms which we really needed. The place was so quiet! Even though the adjoining apartments were occupied. Not a cockroach in sight. Locaion wise, couldn't be better. Away from the main road, but still only a few minutes walk to the huge beach. There is a british/german speaking medical clinic across the road. An abundance of small shops selling everything you could ever need. 5 minutes from the airport, and we were not disturbed by planes at all. Was a great quiet base, a few minutes by taxi to arrecife for serious shopping, Peurto del carmen for nightlife. We were able to organise a late check out without a problem. I would definitely stay here again.
A sweeping brush for the floor would have been handy, for the days the cleaners didn't visit. We only ate breakfast here once, as the hot food was served cold. If you drink cider, this hotel does not serve it. It is an all-inclusive place as well as self catering, so if you were eating here you would often find crowds at meal times.
The staff really nice, clean , quaiet, nice big rooms, lovely pool.
Hard pillows, good food but could improuve with more spanish food, to irish or uk oriented.
The appartement was nice and right by the pool. Hotel well situated with only a few hundred meters to the beach and in a quite end of Puerto del Carmen (Playa Pocillos). Free internet access was appreciated.
Had breakfast once - there was plenty to choose from but the standard was not very high. Not a very friendly person in the reception when we arrived.
Pool was ideal - heated and well designed. Breakfast was included in price and food/choice was excellent. Located across from a lovely beach and general area was lovely, quiet and ideal for walking along promenade. Quiet at night-time (a plus) and staff (especially the cleaner) was pleasant. Overall a great choice for us.
Two minor complaints - the pillows weren't great. However, we asked for more and were given them so that helped. Also, cooking facilities in the apartment wasn't great (two rings) and there was a charge to hire kettle, toaster, etc. We had planned to cook each evening and we found this difficult, with limited cooking facilities. Even one extra ring and an oven would have been ideal.
Lovely and peaceful, not a tourist trap yet. The kiddies pool was just the right depth for my 3 year old to play in. Great aircon! Lovely area. Cleaners very friendly and very hard working. No need to reserve sun beds.
The staff in reception where awful. We had to print our boarding passes I went to 2 different men on the reception who where very rude and finally got the woman to print them for me no problem to her. The 2 men didn't really know what they where doing, so just made excuses of being too busy! So if you need anything wait until you see her at the reception desk.
Hotel close to the airport and beach.
If you have children under 3, you will need a buggy as everything from playgrounds to shopping is a good walkaway. The apartments are okay, not well equipped for a young family, more designed for those who will eat out all the time. Apartments located in area g are not suitable for young children as there is a volleyball court and mini-golf course beside them and there is a lot of pedestrian traffic passing your apartments. All the facilities are open until 11.00pm, we had alot of unsupervised children in these areas quite late at night and when we complained we were told that they could do as they pleased until 11pm. There was no hotel security around the hotel and only one staff member on at reception at night and they could not leave their post if their was a problem.
The food was usually very good. The staff was excellent.
I noticed the full board drink choices were not to my satisfaction-FB will have only 1 choice of beer. The WiFi access was a problem. The internet is supposedly in the common areas, but, the lobby common area is the only area that is enclosed at 0500, and it didn't work there. Consequently, I was 'outside' in chilly weather or rain, or no matter, at 0430-0600 to access the wifi before my business day started - was the most frustrating thing. I won't stay there again, only because of the access to the internet being so difficult and inconvenient. Then the common area to use wifi that is enclosed is where there is live entertainment, and people drinking - very loud. They have only 1 iron for the whole complex - for people to use.
The layout and design of the hotel is excellent. We has a very quiet apartment in Block 2. We arrived on a Monday evening and the apartment was spotlessly clean and it was cleaned again on 6 days during our weeks stay. Sheets and towels changed 6 times. She was very good at her job. The variety of food for breakfast and dinner was excellent, plenty of food to cater for all tastes. Two supermarkets just outside the hotel and the beach was just across the road. We took bus trip to Jameos del Agua with Last Minute (office across the road from hotel) €20 each which covered bus trip and entry to caves. Well worth a visit. Hope to go back to Los Pocillos, Puerto del Carmen again.
It's quite location,near the beach,quite near to the main attractions
